The Arizona Bankers Association has been the voice of Arizona’s banking industry for over 100 years. The Association counts over 70 banks and credit card operations among its members. Our members operate in every corner of the state, from the Grand Canyon to Tuba City, Douglas to Yuma, and everywhere in between. Our mission is to engage our members in industry issues and create a unified voice.
Not only do banks lend to Arizonans, but they employ nearly 40,000 Arizonans, reinvesting in their communities and providing financial and social stability in their markets. Bankers additionally donate significant time and money to charities, among them, educating young adults on the importance of financial responsibility. Banks are, in many ways, the lifeblood of our communities.
The Arizona Bankers Association provides various functions for the members of the AzBA. In addition to the work done lobbying for the benefit of the banking industry and for a strong overall economy, the department also hosts leadership lunches and dinners, publishes legislative bulletins and position papers, and more.
Creating a unified voice of the Arizona banking industry gives AzBA a powerful voice in both at the Arizona State Capitol, and Washington D.C. We work with your federal, state and local elected officials, and with the regulatory agencies to promote favorable business environments for banking, which in turn, promotes positive economic growth in our state.
